Playa Grande is situated in the Province of Guanacaste, just north of Tamarindo and South of Playa Conchal & Playa Flamingo. It comprises most of Parque Nacional Marino Laus Baulas, the most important nesting site in Central America for the giant leatherback sea turtle. Here a 5km long stretch of white sand Beach backed by a large Mangrove estuary with many nesting birds and other wildlife such as caymans and much more.
Las Baulas National Park: The Leather Back Turtles (largest sea turtle in the world) in Spanish La Baula come here to nest their eggs. Occurring for million of years.
